Media Advisory: The Canadian Press Stylebook – 19th Edition Launch In Partnership With Urban Dictionary

TORONTO, Nov. 16, 2020 – The Canadian Press is launching the newest edition of the Stylebook, a trusted handbook for all media professionals, in collaboration with Urban Dictionary to introduce slang phrases in the book and 150 new CP style rules.

The event will be held at Humber College Lakeshore Campus newsroom on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, and will also be live-streamed, as they have one of the top journalism, media and public relations programs and six journalism and PR students will be in attendance. 

Safety measures will be taken and social distancing protocols will be in effect following Covid-19 rules and regulations.

The newsroom’s capacity is eight reporters with a six-foot distance between each person.
